Golden Oats Malt is Gladfield's newest malt using their Big O grain. The oats are germinated in the same way as our Big O Malt, then roasted in small batches to ensure an even sacrification, just like their crystal malt recipe. While you get the creamy and silky texture typical of oats, there is also that extra dimension of nutty hints and unfermentable sweetness.
Gladfield Golden oats are gently roasted to a colour of around 20 -25 EBC in their own husk giving you better lautering, helping you perfect the hue of your hazy PAs or IPAs.
Use at a rate of up to 20%.
