Buckwheat is a New Zealand-grown grain that has a similar flavour to Wheat and Barley but the grain is gluten-free. Buckwheat is a flowering seed compared to Wheat and Barley which are from the grass family.
Gladfield roasted the Buckwheat on their Roaster to create a unique flavour for beers that are gluten-free or beers that the brewer wants to feature unique ingredients.
